Getting Started as a Volunteer on your First Case
Congratulations on becoming a Marin CASA volunteer!
When there is a case available for you, you will receive a call or email from a CASA supervisor to arrange a time to come in and meet and discuss the case. At that time, we will link your electronic files to the case you are being assigned.
Each volunteer is assigned a CASA email that you are expected to use for all communications on your CASA case. We will also use this email address to send the Monthly Volunteer Newsletter and to contact you about any policy updates or paperwork requests, so please check it at least weekly.
CASA Email:
Please use your assigned CASA email for all communication surrounding your case. You can login through gmail.
Example address: casa-firstnamelastinitial@marincasa.org (e.g. [email protected])
Your initial password will be Bestinterest and you will be asked to reset it upon first login.
Optima:
Optima is our database for all case-related information. This is where we will upload all information relevant to your case. It is also where you will enter your Training Logs and Contact Logs. Please remember to log all of your case interactions and your continued education hours. Learn how to use Optima here.
You can find the login page at www.marincasa.org, and click on “Volunteer Portal” or use this Optima link.
To access Optima, our data system, your login is first.last (e.g. sherene.chen)
Initial password: Welcome1
